The film is okay..But the visuals especially yung galaw ng camera is poorly executed, ang sakit sa mata honestly..Maganda ang tema ng pelikula, malalim pero ang sakit talaga sa mata..I still prefer the crispy and artistic appeal of Ang Lalake sa Parola..Plus the beauty of Harry and Justin eh mas refreshing kesa kay Josh….I still like Parola more than Antonio…

In terms of nudity, mas grabeee ang Antonio kasi nota kung nota talaga ang pakita as in…But syempre I prefer kung sina Justin and Harry yung gumagawa nun…Maganda ang story but yung bentahe nila na actors parang kulang..Iba pa din sina Harry and Justin..I saw Johnron Tanada din pala kanina sa premiere sa UP…..

Ibang level tong Antonio’s Secret! Grabe ang saya manonood sa UP Theater haha! Dami flesh…lol o_O

i unexpectedly liked the movie. hindi siya typical local gay themed movie na hindi mo maintindihan kung ano yung sense o kung meron man ay kung ano yung significance sa pagiging bakla.

may dvd version kaya nito? yung uncut din just like parola? sana yung sa rob uncut din po. hehe.

i agree with loyalistang mirasol. comment ko lang, para kasing OA ang attempt na “magpaka-indie”, sobrang unnecessary na yung ibang galaw ng camera, parang sinasadya na para “makuha yung indie feel.” Masakit talaga sa mata. i hope the director and everyone are reading this blog. but otherwise, ok yung story, maganda naman ang pagkakasulat, you’d think ang lihim lang ni antonio e yung pagiginga bakla niya, pero me iba pa palang lihim.

another thing, ang haba ng ilang scenes. one thing i remember e yung pagpapahid ng lotion ni shamaine, yes, kahit ilang segundo lang na nagpapahid siya ng lotion, gets na namin “ang pangungulila” niya sa asawa niya.

again, all in all, it was a good movie.

nakakaloka naman kasi itong si antonio….ang landi-landi! i can’t imagine being haliparot nung ka-age ko si antonio ha…of all people, tito ko pa papatusin ko…grabe!

friend ng friend ko si kenji. eheh! magaling daw talaga siya although mejo naasiwa yung friend ko kasi may frontal si kenji. dalawang beses pa nagpakita. girl pa naman yung friend ko kaya nawindang talaga siya.

It sucks bigtime, no pun intended. Technical aspect is bad, shots will make you dizzy most of the time, feels like the cameraman suffers from a terrible case of pasma. Story is promising but the whole film is a big disappointment. There’s no secret here, really. Everything is given out. Even the protagonist’s thoughts are heard. The nudity parts are unnecessary. I had to look away from the screen when Antonio jacks off. Does it have to be shown in full body shoty? That part can offend. I didn’t feel that way when Renato in Malena is jerking off. The problem in his movie is the way it was executed. I don’t think it’s an art; it’s porn. Sayang ang effort, honestly.

’saw the movie last night. I thought it is one of the better indie films that I’ve seen(and I’ve seen quite a few). I was pleased that the theater was more than half full. The movie has no pretense. Its a gay erotica with a sensible storyline. I hope they make more films like that. And BTW, you won’t feel shortchanged or “bitin” with this film.

Akala ko puro kalibugan lang mapapanud ko d2. Hindi pala. Sakit nga lang sa mata. Nakakarelate ako sa story, like how you will answer the question bakla ka ba? Attracted k ba sa akin? Gus2 mo ba magkaanak? Sapol.. Sana ganun din ka open ung nanay ko.

the movie is one of the best gay-themed films ive ever seen. kenjie garcia was so good, acting-wise.

magaling ang pagkahabi ng istorya. ganito naman talaga dapat ang indie films; superb acting, a realistic script, and di basta hubaran lang.

I watched “Antonio” last night at Rob Galleria. Nice movie actually, though I feel some scenes seemed exploitative, like Antonio’s masturbation scene. Good story. Ok ang acting ni Kenjie and that Provoq guy. Bad camera shots. Sharmaine Buencamino (the mother) shines in this film. All in all, 3 out of 5 stars.

One small suggestion: if the dirctor wanted to show a daring shot of fellatio where Antonio holds his uncle’s penis while sucking it, he should have made sure that
the penis was at least semi-erect to be realistic. Parang laging flaccid kasi kaya di kapani-paniwalang na-a-arouse ang uncle sa ginagawa sa kanya ng nephew nya. Or else, wag na lang mag- frontal shot ng ganun at ginawang more suggestive na lang ang kuha.

BTW, does anybody know how old Kenjie is? I hope he’s not a minor.

my yaya enjoyed the movie. i did not. kasi mas enjoy pa rin ako sa mga gay films in the likes of ‘bishonen’…

ang lihim ni antonio is the shocking gay movie of the year to me. well, i am not interested to watch the movie. but, maybe it will widened the thingking ability of each one of us, “that sex is not a fantasy, it is an art of hipocrisy”. oy….c kenjie nito ay laging may wet dreams…hehehehehehehehehehehe!

I had the chance to watch the movie last night (A very big thanks to a friend out there). I find the sex scenes too shocking (as in super exposure talaga & dakma kung dakma) I felt I was watching scenes from Sean Cody or Corbin Fisher which should not be the case. All in all, I like the story in whole (and I can totally realte to it) and the actors are superb (especially in the ending).

Thanks to VIVA DVD releases, I was able to watch the indie film, kahit andito pa ako sa dulo ng Mindanao. I rented “Ang Lihim ni Antonio” along with “Ang Lalake sa Parola”, I watched the latter first, but found the former much better! I salute the director! Mr. Altarejos sir! grabe, galeng! so moving!

Ok, eto comments, though “Parola” had better shots - “Lihim” had more depth. Di ko masyadong na-appreciate yung mga symbolisms ng film dun, masyadong loose ang tie-up, maybe because of the actors- though harry laurel is visually appealing - halata talaga ang pagka-first timer/ di convincing ang acting nya para sa akin - although in the documentary footage - me similarity naman sila ng character nya… in denial.

Sa “Lihim” naman, waaaay better na talga ang directing, ewan ha, parang completely different ang 2 movies - di halatang pareho ang nagdirect at gumawa, i beg to disagree sa mga reklamador na ayaw ng movement ng camera - given that the storyline required a fast-paced screenplay/story development - the shots of Antonio’s lifestyle is just right - nakaka-relate tayo na ang main character ay nasa “clumsy” stage pa ng life nya…

the script is novel, engaging and fresh - though the story isn’t so original - fresh naman ang approach at perfect ang casting - kenjie garcia holds a lot of promise - nagra-radiate yung acting prowess niya from within - a really good find! sana dumami pa ang projects nya. (He can be the next Coco Martin of indiecinema di ba - uy, Coco auditioned for which role, i wonder,there was a clip of him in the documentary feature), josh ivan morales is a charming villain - you’d love him and hate him,… and Shamaine Buencamino, well,…phenomenal! - the miranda richardson of philippine movies…

Well, yun lang, me hang-over pa ko sa ganda ng 2 movies… wow, this is really the age of indiemovies - and i think mr.altarejos and his crew would be remembered for their invaluable contribution to the industry….

i like the story. even bought a copy. it makes you feel for antonio without really thinking too much. i like the narrative. i thought it was something like “sa mga pakpak ni miguelito” by dennis gutierrez, but actually hindi pala.
