Migs SpeaksCelebration of Masculine Pulchritude
Getting pretty bored recently, one proof of which is my current hair-do — which is hair-none. Yes dears, Migs the Manila Gay Guy is sporting a semikal look now. A friend was saying “kulang na lang tattoo, mukha ka ng sanggano!” Hahaha, kung alam lang niya, sanggano ang hanap ko. Anyway, one other effect of this summer boredom is a crazy idea, a crazy attempt to make this site a little bit more exciting.
Search for Amateur Hunks and Cuties
I thought, maybe I can feature more AMATEUR hunks and cuties here. So here’s what I propose to all of you MGG readers: we shall run an online search for hot Filipino men, preferably amateurs, those who have not really been out there in the limelight. I am willing to give away some nifty prizes to those who win. Here are the mechanics.
1. Send at least 3 photos of our amateur hunk/cutie (minimum size is 400 pixels in width) in various poses, preferably 1 headshot, 1 half-body, and 1 full-body shot. (Sexy photos are good but no frontal nudity please, baka atakehin ako sa puso.)
2. The sender of the photos should include candidate information such as age, stats (height, weight), city of residence (hindi po kailangan ang buong address, city lang po), and some info regarding the candidate’s educational background or area of work. Clarification, we want diversity so puwede sumali ang straight, gay, paminta, etc — basta matuturing na masculine pulchritude.
3. The sender need not be the candidate, although candidates can also be the senders themselves. It is preferred that the candidate gives consent to the sender regarding his joining the contest.
4. Once I receive at least 10 candidates, I will run an online poll here for 72 hours and let our viewers judge. The online poll will decide the top 3 semi-finalists, among whom the winner will be chosen through a private deliberation of a group of beauty experts (panel of judges TBD).
3. The winner will receive a nifty prize (TBD) sponsored by Migs the Manila Gay Guy.
Cool di ba? But of course this contest will be dependent on whether I receive enough good contestants or not; kung hindi, eh di waley lang! Hehehe! So actually subok lang ito. You could make the consent required rather than preferred. Otherwise anybody can just copy and send you pictures from guys4men.com profiles. Or from friendster or anywhere on the internets for that matter (Hmm, then again maybe that’s the point)

The last time I checked, G4M is teeming with amateur hunks and cuties.
The problem is, you should have an equally good looking pic (which I stole from a potentially straight guy’s profile I found in Friendster) before they reveal their hidden wonders to you. Hehe.

yup, make “consent” a requirement.
someone’s actually using my friendster facepics on g4m, and i can’t do anything about it. i actually don’t use facepics on my g4m account…
idea for a companion contest for readers: don’t reveal the candidates’ orientation, then do a “gay, straight or taken”

Mahirap yata ang mechanics mejo maraming loopholes….
I agree with the others, how can we get actual consent from the person? How do we know na that person did gave his consent?
Example, may padadala ako picture, pic ng friend ko (or some guy in friendster) then I will make a bogus email account with his name on it (say juan_david_montevilla@gmail.com) and I will use that email add to write A LETTER OF CONSENT to MGG.
Who will get the prize if ever the candidate (thru a representative) will win?

ay naku! yaman din lang na kasama ang mga paminta (buo at durog), isama na rin yung mga asin (at inaalat), yung mga maasim pa sa Datu Puti suka, yung mga vetchin, bawang, luya, sitaw, ampalaya … at ang magwawagi ay tatanghaling Miss Pinakbet! Winner!
