Lovapalooza: no gays allowed?
No gays allowed daw to kiss in Lovapalooza? How true? I would not think the Close Up event organizers would be this narrow-minded. Can anyone please confirm?

Who cares if gay people aren’t allowed? Only losers attend this shit and it’s so, so baduy.
February 9th, 2007 at 2:11 pm
Ouch. Because I want to go there just to experience it. Wala lang. Uuuy, bakit kaya parang bitter-bitter-an si Kaleena? Hehe! Jowk lang. Peace tayo, neng. But seriously, if they wouldn’t allow gays to kiss there or to even be there, then that’s plain stupid. Meron siguro silang gaydar o gaymometer. LOL! Saka mababantayan ba nila yung sanrekwang aattend jan? May rules ba sila jan? Anyone who has legit info about the event, please feel free to answer. Thanks.

Migs! Your site, particularly the page on Enchong, was featured by Ogie Diaz in his People’s Tonight tabloid column! Wla lang, share ko lang

Yup. Hindi puwedeng mag-kiss ang dalawang males. Paaalisin ka.
Care ko! Sensodyne naman ang ginagamit kong toothpaste.
February 9th, 2007 at 4:34 pm
February 9th, 2007 at 4:58 pm
Korny naman!
Pero ang alam ko, di pwedeng magregister ang same gender to kiss.
But I think, pwede silang umattend dun to kiss.

If what vince has said is really true, then this is a clear case of discrimination against the gay society. Considering, and Im pretty sure, that there are a lot of gay people behind the marketing and promotion of this event, yet they alllowed such discrimination? (mga ipokrita!) Vaket? at isa pang Vaket?
(TApos 2 girls pwede?) Bad trip! Away na to!
February 9th, 2007 at 5:06 pm
But still Ghel, what’s the point of not allowing the same genders to register? The point is to be counted just like the rest of the crowd kaya nga pupunta dun ang mga tao babae, lalake, bakla man o tomboy to be counted!

LOL! Jowk lang.

i’ll admit that my first reaction to this post was like that of Kaleena. this whole lovapaLOOZA thing is for LOOZAhs.
but the thing is, tama sina andrew. discrimination still exists up to this day. think about it, when 2 girls kiss, guys think it’s hot. but when 2 guys kiss, not a single girl would even watch it.
if i were to attend that event, i’ll just go boy-watching.
by the way, congrats migs! reference material ka na pala for showbiz columns. dagdag pa dyan yung nag-post dito with a thesis question. wow, credible source ka migs! go girl!

Grabe! Halikan pa sila in public….masarap kaya? Ako dito asin lang at momog lang…!
Lovapalooza sucks!
February 10th, 2007 at 1:16 pm
haha, well sory na lang kung ganun. wag natin gamitin ang close up. let’s use sensodyne, colgate, hapee, pepsodent(meron pb nun!), beam, haha pati na rin maxam. sana nagkaevent para sa atin!!! hahaha!
February 10th, 2007 at 1:58 pm
they’re allowed. one of the organizers ang friend ko. 2 males can register as a couple.
February 10th, 2007 at 2:27 pm
what querida said may be true. the other lovapalooza events were explicit in not allowing same sex couples to register. primarily, its within our moral compass mayor atienza’s turf. but since mall of asia is hosting it, i think it is possible that same sex couples will be allowed. i was actually disappointed coz husband and i were not able to register during the last lovapalooza.
missed ya, migz! twas my birthday last feb 6. di mo ko binati. (walks out) chos.

Wow! If what Querida and Bridget Jones are saying is true, then that’s great. Sa kasamaang-palad, nagkasamaan kami ng loob nung friend ko na dapat kasama kong aatend mamaya, so off to San Pablo City, Laguna, I go. Hopefully, next year I can just bring a bf along to the event, if I have one. *Sigh*

Happy birthday, Jerome aka Bridget Jones!

a few points regarding the previous comments
– there are women who find two guys kissing hot. mostly fag hags, though
– lovapalooza is a marketing event for the toothpaste brand. for some strange reason, they chose to rehash this gimmick despite the fact that it has been a flop the past two years. it has lost its essence.
– if same sex couples will go, i’m pretty sure the photographers and videographers will avoid photographing them. sadly, our society is not yet even completely accepting of homosexuality. What more of homosexual public displays of affection.
our country has a long way to go. this long an hard road is filled with potholes created by a deeply-rooted hypocritical church, an extremely homophobic faux-patriarchal society, and a great bias against things unfamiliar and misunderstood
