Introducing Andre Soriano, Jamil Basa and Mara Altiera, the sizzling indie flick from Eric Ramos’ screenplay tells the story of an engineer’s troubled marriage with his wife of Indian descent and the miner of ethnic Ibaloi ancestry who would arouse passion in both spouses against the backdrop of a mining site filled with sweaty, swarthy, naked men and badgered for its ill effects on the environment and the indigenous community it has displaced.

I will not be the least bit surprised if half of the audience walks out midway through the film (at sa UP pa gagawin, hala!) This movie sucks! Kaya nag belly up ang local film industry because of films like this getting made at all. Nood na lang tayo ng Spiderman.

Yeah, didn’t like the movie either. It was just an excuse to show off some skin. Actually, even the sex scenes are lame. And Janvier appeared for like a few seconds.

I agree. There was a lot of hype before the film came out. Pero nung pinanuod namin, Diyos ko, it was really crap! Masyadong maraming “unnecessary coincidences”.

First time I watched a film being screened exclusively sa the UP Film Center, Orapronobis ni Lino Brocka ang palabas. Fast-forward to 2007…yikes!

I wish they would include this movie in the upcoming Brisbane Queer Film Festival. Looks like we will have a rerun of Maximo Oliveros.
