On Bisexuality

April 26th, 2007 - Posted on April 26th, 2007

“I’m bisexual,” says a new friend while we were having dinner among other new friends. It got me to thinking how the concept and use of the term “bisexual” has, to say it bluntly, been bastardized as of late. Read the rest of this entry »

Zsazsa Zaturnnah is going to zoar once again in its 5th run! Why would people run and buy tickets for this musical? Well, well, well (said while holding a wine glass between ring and middle finger, palms up, swaying left and right, chin up, with attitude) here are some reasons!

The Boracay Eyeball - conclusion

April 25th, 2007 - Posted on April 25th, 2007

(Continued from The Boracay Eyeball 3)

We were laughing like old friends. I was actually enjoying his company, really enjoying. After dinner, over beer and peanuts, he suddenly fell silent. I was about to ask him what the matter was when, in a very soap opera-ish way, he looked at me straight in the eye, then popped the question: ‘Migs, do you love me?’

Luke Landrigan, surfer hunk

April 25th, 2007 - Posted on April 25th, 2007

lukelandrigan13.jpg Luke Landrigan is one of the most famous surfers of the country — and he’s hunky as athletic hunks can be! Luke has won various surfing competitions such as the 2005 Lanuza International Longboard Invitational and the La Union Long Board Open. Luke is half-Filipino, and half-Australian — but frankly he seems very Pinoy in my eyes (maybe because of the permanent tan that surfing gives him?). So, ehem-ehempaano, kitakits na ba in La Union? Hehehe!

Waiting

April 23rd, 2007 - Posted on April 23rd, 2007

McVie, a blogger and friend, commented a beautiful poem in my post about my paranoia (on finding The One). It speaks of reconnecting with one’s self as key to recovery from a failed relationship.

LOVE AFTER LOVE
by Derek Walcott
The time will come
When, with elation
You will greet yourself arriving
At your own door, in your own mirror,
And each will smile at the other’s welcome.
And say, sit here, Eat.
You will love again the stranger who was your self.
Give wine. Give bread. Give back your heart
To itself, to the stranger who has loved you
All your life, whom you ignored
For another, who knows you by heart.
Take down the love letters from the bookshelf,
The photographs, the desperate notes,
Peel your image from the mirror.
Sit. Feast on your life.

April 23rd, 2007 - Posted on April 23rd, 2007

“Top, Bottom, Versa?” — every gay guy who has ever hooked up with a fellow gay guy knows this line by heart. For the uninitiated, top means the penetrator (in an@l sex), bottom means the penetrated, and versa means either (thus versatile), depending on the person’s partner or mood.
